”A spider’s cobweb isn’t only its sleeping spring but also its food trap.”~African Proverb
Humans can learn from the wise spider about how to protect and improve their environment. Avoid using single-use products such as plastic cups, knives, bags, or bottles. Buy reusable items.
Words have power!
You don't have to hit people over their heads with the "truth." Don't join others in proudly saying, "I am a brutally honest person. I say things as they are.” Words have power. As a leader, dip the uncomfortable truth in honey before you say it and more people are likely to listen and follow you.
Misplaced Priorities
”Modern society has its priorities screwed up,” declared an elderly man on Christmas eve at the Potomac Mills Mall. ”What do you mean?” ”We have propped up TV personalities and athletes as the most important people in our world. But, I never once needed them for anything. Not once! But, I have needed a doctor, teacher, farmer, firefighters, and police officers.”
For your smiles & Giggles…
A 3rd-grade teacher: “Boys and girls, if I have 4 bottles in one hand and 5 in the other, what do I have?" ”A drinking problem,” shouted a boy in the back row.
