The little action that I take when I’m discouraged.
|Dr. Michael I. Otaigbe||Nov 10, 2019|| 2|
When I’m overwhelmed and discouraged, I venture outside and gaze at the vast blue sky. My challenges look smaller when I am standing under the sky. I remind myself of the old saying, ”By the yard, it's hard, but inch by inch, anything's a cinch.”
Who are the happiest people in the world?
”... the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.”~H.J. Brown Jr.& Pennington. You don't have to be a billionaire like Bill Gates to give. ”Give, even if you only have a little, ” the wise Buddha is quoted as saying.
For Your Smiles and Giggles…
• Asked about the secret to his 40-year marriage, a man responded, ”I make myself needed daily.” How? ”By tightening the lids of the most commonly used jars in the kitchen. So every day, I get, ‘Honey, can you open this stupid jar for me?’ “
• The father of five teenagers said, ”It isn't hard to gather my children together. Switch off WiFi and they’ll come out screaming, ‘There is no WiFi in my room!’ “
A note from a grateful reader…
